About Me
I’m a proud Westie and have been for 36 years. You may remember me as past Chairman of Works for Waitakere City and an Auckland Regional Councillor. As a JP I may have signed papers for you, or perhaps we’ve met through my volunteering at the Auckland Easter Show for 47 years, or at the Karamatura Heritage Farm I’ve managed for 11 years. These days I love my part-time job as school bus driver. At 66 I’ve been there, done that and life’s great. But when I see Waitakere people scoring our area’s local government performance as below average, I know from experience we can do better. I will put community needs first — as we used too. I will support saving the Huia Domain, fishermen having a safe boat ramp and recreation facilities such as skateboard parks. I will put people first when it comes to local board priorities.
