About Me
Of my 59 years, I’ve spent 43 as a tradesman mechanic, 32 of these running my business and 26 in trade associations and managing family companies. These experiences have shaped me into a practical thinking, no-nonsense person, who sees through corporate speak and overhyped sales pitches. I’ll bring my common sense and balance to our Local Board. I’ll support policies that give higher status to economic and social well-being objectives, as well as environmental objectives. I’ll ensure our Local Board gives you all the FACTS, in clear, simple language so you fully understand the options and I promise to champion the choices you make. I’ll continuously remind our Local Board that our rates are not a bottomless source of money. I’ll demand that spending results in practical achievements and simply gets jobs done such as improving our footpaths, storm drainage and making our community and shopping areas safe and vibrant.
