A VISION FOR AUCKLAND THAT INCLUDES THE SILENT MAJORITY

Auckland with its diverse ethnic population and outstanding geographic location, has most of the ingredients, which has made other Cities world class. The ingredient that Auckland is missing is leadership. My vision for Auckland Council, is for everybody from the Mayor and Councillors down, to have the goal of being a coordinated and effective organisation, which delivers to its residents world-class outcomes. I see a future where Auckland City’s mission statement is “to be the world’s most fair city”. A city that fosters social and economic development which brings with it affordability for all. A city that enables the well-being of our outstanding environment and gives access to it, for sport and recreation and once again is described as “the city of sails”.
